Behind The Lines - 'All The Nice Girls'

  • L Fest 2017 LE12 5SQ (map)

Ali and Rosie love coming to LFest, bringing their own brand of lesbian showbiz history, with their closely researched take on performers of the past, from forgotten stars Gwen Farrar and Norah Blaney to world famous artists like Sinatra and Dean Martin.

They've entertained audiences from London to Lesbos, from the V&A to the RVT, and from tiny Salisbury Fringe to the massive EdFringe via England's biggest arts festival where they are Brighton Fringe Award Nominees for three years running.

After their first visit to LFest two years ago they were invited to perform at the acclaimed Shrewsbury LGBT History Festival hub to a rapturous response. They appeared here last year as part of the popular Kenric Cabaret and they've since made appearances at Boibox, The Glory, The Marlborough Brighton, Kingdom, Birmingham's 'Shout!' Festival, the Skala Eressos International Women's Festival, Radio Reverb, Juice Radio, BBC Radio Sussex and Latest TV.

In 2014 they set up Behind The Lines, a community group and theatre company with on going support from the Arts Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
