Midlands bred Hannah recently moved from East to West, from her native Nottingham into the heart of Birmingham to complete a music degree. She has always had a passion for music, initially playing drums before settling on her mother's guitar and developing into a fine song writer and instrumentalist.
Hannah says of her early experiences: “I always adored music, and felt that I always understood the emotional expression behind a lot of lyrics but it wasn't until my teenage years that I began to explore that cathartic release for myself. Music kind of made sense and I found it to be the best way I knew how to process what was happening to me as I was growing up.”
Following the release of her first single, ’I Don’t Want To Be You’, Hannah was chosen by Jo Whiley to play a BBC live showcase in Birmingham in celebration of the BBC Music Awards:
“…..she pulled off a coolly excellent set fronting a stand-up bass and percussion trio for Radio 2's Introducing show at the Hare and Hounds. She knocked it out the park, frankly.” (Robin Valk - radiotogo.blogspot.co.uk) Hannah’s second single, ‘Empty’ was released in September 2016 and was featured by BBC introducing WM and played on the Mark Forrest show. Her first EP, ‘Better For This’ is now released as a download and CD and features 4 brand new tracks with the recent singles ‘I Don’t Want To Be You’ and ‘Empty’ as bonus tracks.
