Striking singer/songwriter D’lys ended 2013 performing to a star studded audience at The Old Vic Theatre’s Celebrity Gala, hosted by actor Kevin Spacey.
A regular performer on, and championed by, BBC Radio, they describe her only as “superb” and extol her debut album “Find Me An Angel”, co written with producer Robin Barter; behind Sonique’s platinum selling album ‘Hear My Cry’ amongst other successes.
Often called a ‘Modern Day Tracy Chapman’ D’lys’s songs emanate from her soul with an intimacy that silences a crowd. Her hauntingly beautiful voice, catchy melodies and poignant lyrics have been captivating UK audiences in prestigious venues such as The 02 Academy and The London Bush Hall.
She has performed alongside many household names including multi-platinum selling ‘The Streets’ vocalist Leo, Joss Stone’s band ‘Yes Sir Boss’, & Middle Eastern sensation Yasmine Hamden.
Over the summer, D’lys is set to share festival bills with Rebecca Ferguson, The Jacksons, The Overtones, and many other established artists, ending the season with performances in Europe, New York & San Francisco.
