Chuck Sj Hay Takes inspiration from her two favourite artists, John Butler and The King Blues. Butler for his never ending imagination on the guitar, and The King Blues for their political take on all situations.
Born in southend but residing in Brighton, Chuck is a firm believer of musical community. She built ‘Hush Hush Promotions’ in 2011, and now spends almost every evening entertaining the crowds of Brighton, keeping the scene alive.
In 2014 she started a kickstarter campaign to raise money for her debut album, where she reached the goal of £800 in only 48 hours. The album ‘Mood Swings’ is now available to buy from bandcamp or at any of her shows.
Also known as the front woman of revolutionary punk band ‘Echo & The Beats’. Her acoustic material is evidence to the vast difference in musical genres that she explores.
